Revenue Management System

The Revenue Management System (RMS) incorporates various hospital structures, including patient classification, patient fee structure and the procedure or service description. Looking at the number of patients dealt with per staff, the model analyses various revenue indicators, such as:

  • accounts/ cash raised (ie revenue identified)
  • revenue collected
  • cash fees collected
  • potential revenue (ie target revenue)
  • percentage of potential revenue claimed
  • percentage of potential revenue collected
  • percentage of identified revenue collected
  • approximate percentage of cash fees collected
  • total revenue lost.

These indicators help to identify possible problems in the system, thus enabling the hospital to monitor and manage revenue more effectively.
